Delegation consisting of 10 volunteers of the Winter Universiade 2019 will go to the forum from Krasnoyarsk. The key factors in their selection were a wide experience of volunteer activity, including the experience of working as team leaders at major events and a high level of proficiency in English, as the forum will be held in a foreign language. All participants of the forum will live in the Athletes’ Village 2013.
The main goal of the forum is to create a permanent platform for communication of volunteers and members of National University Sports Federations for the exchange of views and accumulated successful practices in the implementation of volunteer programmes and projects for holding major international sports events, as well as the student events.
The forum will host the presentation of the Winter Universiade 2019, where the Adviser Director General of the ANO “Executive Directorate of the 29th Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk” Konstantin Gureev will perform. Throughout the forum the pomo space of the upcoming Games will work, where all guests will be met by U – Laika, and also the educational quizzes on sports will be held.
“Participation in events of such level is a very big responsibility. We not only receive certain skills, but we also have the opportunity to talk about the upcoming Games outside the region, and also to understand all the nuances and requirements in the field of international student sports. Of course, this experience will be effectively used in our further work at the Winter Universiade 2019” said Daria Broks, member of Krasnoyarsk delegation and volunteer of the Winter Universiade 2019.
In total, the programme of events of the International Educational Forum “FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy 2017” is scheduled for seven days and includes lectures, round tables, and discussions. International experts from FISU, UNESCO, International Olympic Committee, WADA will be the key speakers of the forum, as well as representatives of the Organising Committees of future Universiades and upcoming World Championships among students in 2018.
The Forum in Kazan was organized with the support of the mining and metallurgical company “Nornickel”, which is a partner of FISU and the general partner of the Winter Universiade-2019 in Krasnoyarsk. Among other things, “Nornickel” will finance the training of personnel and volunteers who will work on the Games in Siberia.
